Scratch Charades is an introductory, game-based Scratch activity. This activity orients students to block-based programming and the Scratch programming environment by introducing color-coded block categories, block shapes, and the basic blocks used in most scripts. Students learn by playing a Scratch version of charades and building scripts using magnetic Scratch blocks. Students start by playing Scratch Charades to understand how to construct sequential scripts, then play the Scratch Charades with Loops to understand how to repeat sequential actions in scripts.
